Honeymoon packages in India: Top places to visit in Andaman

Clean, unpolluted and secluded, Andaman is the perfect getaway for newly-weds to begin their romantic sojourn. Take a walk on its pristine white sand beaches, snorkel to discover its rich marine life or spend some quality time together at one of its luxury resorts. If these are what you are looking for, these islands are where you should go. We help you plan a blissful honeymoon.
Port Blair

Begin your honeymoon at Port Blair, the capital of these islands where your flight will land. Head to Corbyns Cove Beach which is lined with coconut trees and is ideal for swimming. If you don’t want to step into the water, relax with a beer and some scrumptious seafood available in a restaurant on the beach. If you want to go scuba diving, Snake Island just across this beach is a good option.
In the evening, watch the Sound and Light Show at the Cellular Jail which was where many freedom fighters were imprisoned. The show is engaging, giving you a brief history of what transpired in Andaman during our freedom struggle.
Next morning, visit museums in and around Port Blair such as the Forest Museum, Anthropological Museum and the Fisheries Museum. Have a nice meal and head to Ross Island by taking a short boat ride from the Water Sports Complex. Here you can see the ruins of what was once the Administrative Headquarters before an earthquake rocked it.

Havelock

To reach Havelock, you’ll have to take a ferry from Port Blair. There’s a government-run ferry service at 6 am which takes two-and-a-half hours to reach Havelock. Once here, you can go to Beach No 7 aka Radhanagar Beach. One of the best beaches not just in India but in Asia, it is quite popular among honeymooners for its clear blue waters and picturesque setting that is sure to put you in a romantic mood. You two can spend a good few hours here, away from all the hubbub.
When in Havelock, do visit the Elephant Beach which is famous for snorkeling. You will have to take a boat ride to reach the beach and will be greeted with white sands, fallen trees and water so clear that you can see the corals and reefs. Even if you don’t enjoy snorkeling, you can take some candid pictures against the stunning backdrop.

Neil Island

From Havelock, take a government ferry to reach Neil Island that is one-and-a-half hours away. Divided into five villages, you will get off at Bharatpur which is the only entry and exit point at Neil Island. You can explore the small island which is thinly populated but has many natural sites. Visit the Laxmanpur Beach and natural coral bridge.
You will find a few beach hotels and restaurants on this island where you can have a nice meal and decent accommodation. Head back to Port Blair from where you will depart with a bag full of beautiful memories.
