UPPER LAKE

The
upper lake is famed as “’Bada Talab’, built by Raja Bhoj in 11th
century. The lake is spread over 36.1sq km and is surrounded by beautiful royal
garden and Kamla Park. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy various water
sports like kayaking, canoeing, parasailing and water skiing.
Bhopal

can easily reach Bhopal by air as it conducts both domestic and international
flights. Bhopal airport also known as Raja Bhoj airport is 15 km away from the
main city. There are various flights which directly connect Bhopal to Delhi, Indore,
Gwalior and Mumbai. The nearest airport to Upper Lake is bairagah airport, Bhopal
which is 4 km away from upper lake.
By Train
The
city has its own railway station near Hamidia road and is well linked with all
major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai. The nearest railway station to
upper lake is Bhopal Junction Train station which is 5 km away from upper lake.
By Road
Regular
bus services are available from central cities of the state to Bhopal
namely-Sanchi 46km, Indore 186km,Ujjain 188km and Jabalpur 295km. also, there
are number of bus services which are available from Bhopal to other major
cities like Delhi,Mumbai and jaipur.
