Bangalore Palace is situated in the Palace Gardens, at the heart of the Bangalore city of India. Built in the year 1887 by Wodeyar dynasty, it is adorned with magnificent woodcarvings and Tudor-style architecture on the inside. Infact, the palace is quite similar to the medieval castles that were built in Normandy and England.

The Windsor Castle of London left a great impression on King Chamaraja Wodeyar of Wodeyar dynasty, on one of his trips to England. Inspired by the Tudor style architecture, he got the Bangalore Palace built in the city.

Once surrounded by beautiful gardens, the palace has now lost much of its original charm. However, it still succeeds in attracting tourists. Fortified towers, Gothic windows, battlements and turrets lend a great degree of magnificence to the Bangalore Palace of India.

Mainly constructed of wood, it boasts of splendid carvings and paintings. Today the palace serves as the venue for various exhibitions, concerts and cultural programs held in the city. The ground floor of the Bangalore Palace comprises of a massive open square.

The square is full of granite seats that are adorned with fluorescent blue ceramic tiles. Along with the courtyard is a ballroom, where private parties of the King used to be held.

As we move to the first floor, the foremost thing that comes into view is an ornate room, known as the Durbar Hall. The King used this hall for addressing the assembly. Mounted on the hall is a colossal elephant head, while its walls are ornamented with exquisite paintings. One of the walls of the Durbar Hall has a set of windows that are decorated with stained glass.

There is an abundant use of the yellow color in the hall, with the walls as well as the sofa being of the said color. One end of the room houses a screen, which provided a veil to the ladies when they used to sit and watch the assembly proceedings.

There are also a number of paintings of Raja Ravi Varma, a renowned artist in the palace. The inner walls of the Bangalore Palace are also festooned with paintings belonging to the mid-19th century. The other attractions of the palace include a dining table of the Diwan of Mysore, Sir Mirza Ismail.

The interior walls of the palace are adorned by old paintings belonging to the mid-19th century, including some Greek and Dutch paintings.

The palace is situated between Sadashivanagar and Jayamahal in the heart of Bangalore city. The city of Bangalore can be approached from any of the metro cities by road, rail or air. Many international flights also connect directly to the Bangalore city. After reaching Bangalore, one can take the metro, bus, or hired cars to reach the Bangalore Palace.

Talakona Waterfall is located in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh and it is Sri Venkateswara National Park near Nerabailu village in Yerravaripalem Mandal. It is the highest waterfall of the state with a height of 270 feet. Talakona is also popular for Lord Siddheswara Swamy Temple which is in close vicinity to the waterfall.

Locals living nearby believe that the water of the Talakona comes from an underground stream which suddenly surfaces here and has immense healing power as it flows through lot of herbs which contains high medicinal values.

You can enjoy the local flora and fauna in the forest. Adventure lovers can also look out for 240 meters canopy walking almost 40 feet above the ground to enjoy the breathtaking landscape

It is a serene place well bestowed with thick forests, rich greenery, exquisite waterfalls and exotic wildlife. This place is in amidst of soothing and peaceful atmosphere. Due to rich variety of flora and fauna, this site was declared as the Biosphere Reserve in 1989-90.

There is also a long and perilous trekking route which leads you to top of the hill; there are multiple trek paths, you can choose any one of it. Talakona hills are said to be the part of mighty Eastern Ghats geographically. To give a unique and thrilling experience to the tourists, there is a 240 metre long canopy rope walk, which is about 35 to 40 feet in height.

There are also deep small caves dotted over the mountains. It is said that the sages used to meditate eternally in this caves during ancient times. A Bathing Ghat is under construction near the canopy walk area where the stream of water flows. This beautiful picnic spot will surely amuse and excite you.

Monsoon is the best time to beat the heat with the cooling water effect and what better way than getting under the highest waterfall in Andhra Pradesh. This waterfall offers the best monsoon experience that you can enjoy.

Around 10 hours drive and 600 kilometers from Hyderabad this place is close to Tirupati, so you can also access it easily through Bangalore with just 5 hours drive. Talakona waterfalls in Talakona offers much more than waterfall experience that we normally enjoy.

Muchalinda Lake is situated in Bodhgaya  of Gaya district of Bihar State of India and it is a famous sightseeing place and a mythological site to be seen in Bodhgaya. Sri Hanuman is known as Hanuman Garhi and is located in a fort situated at the western gate of RamKot. The Hanuman Garhi is believed to have been built at the site that was inhabited by Hanuman.

To reach the temple, 76 steps need to be climbed. Land of the temple is believed to have been donated by Nawab of Avadh, on which construction was done during the middle of the 10th century by one of the courtesans of the Nawab.

The cave temple has an inner sanctum that is adorned with the idol of infant Hanuman in his mother’s lap. It is believed that the idol can bestow boon on the devotees worshipping in the temple. The temple is shaped like a four-sided fort with circular bastions at each corner.

The manner in which this temple has been carved out is breathtaking. One has to take the curved flight of stairs to reach this spot. In the sanctum one can see the deity of Mata Anjani holding infant Hanuman on her lap.

At the first look of the deity, one may not be able to see clearly the details of Mata Anjani and Sri Hanuman. A close look will reveal the details. Various devotees and visitors believe that Lord Hanuman resided at the site in a cave and looked after the Ramkot or the Janambhoomi.

Hanuman Garhi is just 3.5 kms from Tallital which is near Nainital. Nainital is well connected with motorable roads connecting major cities and towns of Uttarakhand state. Buses to Kathgodam and Nainital are easily available from Delhi. The nearest railway station to Bhimtal is Kathgodam, situated 276 kms from Delhi and 30 kms from Nainital.
