ADYANPARA WATERFALL
AT
MALAPPURAM
Adyanpara waterfall is
located in Kurumbalangode village of Nilambur taluk of Malappuram District in
Kerala State of India. Adyanpara is natural waterfall originated from
surrounding jungles. Adyanpara waterfall is one of the tourist attractive
places in Nilambur.
There is a mythology that
the water in Adyanpara waterfall is purified and having medicinal power by
nature. The reason is each drop of the water is coming filtered by soil and
there is direct impact of medicinal plants by their leaves, roots and outer
part.
Adyanpara waterfall is
proposed for generating electricity by Kerala Government. Still the people
surrounded by the Adyanpara waterfall is using for agricultural purpose.

surrounded by lush green forest all around makes an ideal base for a picnic or
a holiday. You will surely get amazed by the natural environs and the noise of
water falling from such a big height.
River Kanjirappuzha is a
small tributary of the Chaliyar river in Nilambur taluk of Malappuram district
in Kerala, India. The river originates from the mountain region which lies
between Malappuram and Kozhikode districts.
The river flows through
Chaliyar panchayath in Malappuram district and ultimately joins Chaliyar near
Chaliyarmukku where Karimpuzha also meets Chaliyar. The Adyanpara Waterfalls
are situated on the river.
