Pushkar Lake is located in the holy city of Pushkar in Ajmer district of Rajasthan. The lake is related to the mythology of Lord Brahma. The scenic lake of Pushkar is situated in a valley about 10 kms to the northwest of Ajmer. Pushkar Lake is enclosed by hills and desert. Pushkar Lake is one of the most holy place for Hindus.

There are about 52 Ghats and 400 temples in Pushkar which are situated on the banks of the Pushkar Lake. It is considered that the famed waters of the Pushkar wash away the sins of whole life.

Pilgrims from all over come to take bath in the holy waters of Pushkar on the day of Kartik Purnima or on any of the four days before the day of Kartik Purnima and also worship at the Ghats. The spiritual water of the Lake is also considered to treat skin diseases, making Pushkar "the Lourdes of the East".

The history of Pushkar Lake dates back to 4th century BC. The creation of Pushkar Lake, as an artificial lake goes back to12th century. In 1615–16, the Mughal emperor Jahangir set up his hunting lodge on the shores of the Pushkar Lake. He came to this lodge for hunting when he was staying in Ajmer, about 20 kilometres from Pushkar.

This act breaks the local custom of in which animals are not to be killed in the areas of the holy lake. Later, grandson of Jahangir named Aurangzeb (1618–1707) destroyed some of the temples of the pushkar which were built again afterwards. The Rajput rulers of Amber, Bundi, Bikaner and Jaisalmer put their maximum efforts to re-establish the significance of the lake and its nearby temples.

Ghats of the Pushkar Lake are also renovated and also temples are built around it by various rulers like Maharaja Man Singh I of Amber, Daulat Rao Scindia, Maha Rana Pratap etc.

There are about 52 ghats at the lake which is used by pilgrims to take bath. But 10 of fiftytwo ghats are most famous and are important historical architecture too. These are the Varaha Ghat, the Dadhich Ghat, Saptarishi Ghats, Gwalior Ghat, Kota Ghat, Gau ghat, Yag Ghat, Jaipur Ghat, Karni Ghat and Gangaur Ghat.

Pushkar Camel Fair is Asia’s largest camel fair which commences on Prabodhini Ekadashi, the 11th lunar day in the bright fortnight and ends on Kartik Poornima – the full Moon day in the month of Kartik (October– November) . The lake becomes too crowded during this time as it is said that taking bath on Kartik Poornima is very blissful and wash away all you sins.

Jaganmohan Palace is a royal palace in Mysore city.This Art Gallery located to the west with a walking distance to that of main palace, which is famous Art Gallery. It was built during rule of Krishnaraja Wodeyar III in 1861 to celebrate the marriage of his daughter, the princess of  Mysuru, because the main palace was destroyed in a fire in 1897.

The main door of this Museum is itself a master piece of Art with intricate carvings which is said to have been made in just 70 days. The museum was officially started in 1915, and has since been expended adding many artifacts. This Art Gallery was linded to the famous Mysuru style of painting of rare original paintings and artiacts and entrusted the Administration of this Museum to a committee.

The museum was named after sri Jayachamrajendra Wodeyar in 1955 as Jaganmohn Palace Art Gallery.The original oil paintings of Raja Ravi Varma of Travancore on display here are on many mythological themes.The painting of lady holding the lamp of the Indian Artist S.G.Heldnker is another piece. The other Exhibits include Artifacts made from Glass, Ceramic and Metal.

A good collection of clocks is on display here. Few energravings from china and Japan give it an oriental charm, painting on silks from Japan are worth seeing. Another attraction is the display of paintings of various styles like Moghal, Rajputh give the museum the Artistic touch. Innumerable toys and Artifacts of various description (like the French musical calendar and religious bells from Nepal) makes a visit to this museum memorable.

This palace has witnessed many important events. The daily royal durbar, special Dasara durbar, the first session of the Legislative Council of the Mysore, the coronation of Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV and many other events has been organized in this palace. 

Few convocations of the earlier Mysore University were also held at this palace hall. Till now, many conferences and cultural programs have been hosted in the grand hall of Jaganmohan palace.Jaganmohan palace flaunts the traditional Hindu architecture. The hall exhibits intricate carvings of Lord Vishnu’s incarnations. Jaganmohan palace houses an auditorium which is used to organize cultural programs especially during the Mysore Dasara.

Amboli is situated in Sindudarg district of Maharastra State of India. It is at an altitude of 690 meters above the sea level and its amazing topography comprises dense forest area with a large number of waterfalls which increase in number during the rains.The beautiful hill-station of Amboli is rightly called the ‘queen’ of Maharashtra; such is its natural splendour.

Located in the princely state of Sawantwadi, Amboli is located on the ridge of the Western Ghats and is particularly majestic during the monsoon when impromptu waterfalls gush down the hilly terrain.

Located 529 kilometers from Mumbai and well-connected by road, the railway station nearest to it is at Sawantwadi Road on the Konkan railway line while the closest airport is at Dabolim in Goa.  In fact, it is the heavy rainfall of an average of 750 centimeters per year which results in such thick growth of trees and plants along the hillsides.

The hill-station was a favourite with the British rulers and it is said that Colonel Westrop was the one who took special efforts in developing this place. Winter is actually the perfect season to visit Amboli and some of the points that are a ‘must see’ include the Nangartas Waterfall, Hiranyakeshi, Sea View Point, and Mahadevgad. Kavlesaad Point is another interesting point from where you can get a view of the Sahyadri ranges.

However, for those who would like to add a little more mysticism to their visit, choose to go during the monsoon season. The entire region gets covered with a dense fog during several times a day.

It is then that you can actually experience the power of silence and how nature makes it own music. Meanwhile, don’t forget to stop by at the Hiranyakeshi Mandir. It is from here that the river Hiranyakeshi originates.

The approach road is rough but the destination provides a wonderful experience. You would in fact want to spend hours at this calm and peaceful spot. The river ultimately flows through Karnataka where it is known as Ghataprabha. There’s also a small temple dedicated to Parvati.

Annavaram is one of the most famous Holy Shrines in India and enjoying second place after Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh

Annavaram is located about 72 kilometres from Rajahmundry and 51 kilometres from Kakinada. This town is a popular pilgrimage destination because of the presence of the beautiful Lord Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple at the top of the Ratnagiri Hills. The temple is located along the banks of Pamba River.

The Lord Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy Temple is located on the hill and is constructed in the Dravidian architecture style. The presiding deith of Lord Satyadeva and His consort, Sri Anantha Lakshmi are housed one and Lord Shiva the other side.

The temple is designed as a chariot with four wheels, which are situated at each corner of the structure. The shrine is two-storey high; and devotees can view the feet of the deity from the ground floor, while the upper body of the deity can be clearly seen from the first floor. The deity is 13 feet tall and in a cylindrical form.

The deity housed in the temple represents the Hindu Holy Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva; and on the four sides of the shrine, there are four other deities, namely Ganapati, Suryanarayana Swamy, Bala Tripurasundari and Maheswara Swamy.

Apart from the main temple, there are other temples in the vicinity. Devotees also can visit the temple of Lord Sri Rama, temple of Kanaka Durga and the temple of Vana Durga. At the foot of the hill, there is a temple dedicated to the village deity.

There are many other attractions within the temple compound that visitors can see and enjoy, such as the sun dial, which was constructed in 1943; the massive mandapam, where 1,000 Satyanarayana Vratams can be performed simultaneously; and the Veda Pathshala, where religious discourses are held on Kalyanam days and special festivals.

The temple is built in the Dravidian style. The glory and richness of Lord Satyadeva was widely described in Revakhanda of Skandapuranam. The presiding deity Lord Satyadeva with his consort Sri Anantha Lakshmi on one Side and with Lord Siva on the other side took his abode on Ratnagiri, which is named after Ratnakara, son of Meru the king of holy mountains.

Sri Satyanarayana Swamy at Annavaram is also followed by sacred Pampa River touching the feet of the hill. Lord Satyadeva the god of truth is showering his eternal blessings on mankind in his beautiful manifested form of the divine trinity namely Hari Hara Hiranya Garbha Thrimurtyatmaka.

Hence this is the temple that is attracting the Pilgrims of both Vishanava and Saiva devotees and thousands of pilgrims from all over the Country are worshiping Lord Satyadeva every day forgetting all sectional differences.

Enriched by the installation of Srimathripathvibhuti Vykhunta Maha Narayana Yantra, which plays a dominant and important role with the power of attraction of both money and men (Dhana Janakarsha). The Peetham of Swamyvaru is highly adorned with the installation of Panchayatana, befitting the glory and sanctity of the deity.

This famous yantra is a unique one, the like of which does not exist any where else in India.

Refurbishment Work Of The Main Dome Of Taj Mahal Is Under Process

Mahal for a year; here's why

If you don't travel to Agra anytime soon, you might have to wait a year to see the Taj Mahal in its best form.

When things start getting messy, you do need to find a way to fix it. But this one seems heartbreaking for travellers, although necessary.

According to a report by The Times of India, the main dome of Agra's Taj Mahal will get a mud-pack therapy so that the white marble can get rid of the yellowness it has got over time.

And the worst part? It will take over a year for this process to complete. Which simply means that travellers will have to wait for a year just to see the Wonder of the World in its full glory.

Reportedly, the project will be carried by the Archaeological Survey of India's (ASI) science branch and they have already requested the civil department for a no objection certificate for the purpose.

Restoration work of the Taj Mahal is already under progress and thus three out of its four minarets have already been restored. The conservation work of the dome is slated to take place only after the restoration of the fourth minaret is complete. As revealed to TOI by a senior official of ASI, the work will be started by April 2017.

In case you are wondering what caused the white marble dome to yellow, it is simply because the monument has been affected by an oil refinery in the vicinity, factory fumes, and burning of garbage and dung cakes around it, reveals a report by The Huffington Post.

In the morning after breakfast drive towards Guptkashi via Devprayag & Rudraprayag. On the way see the confluence of River Alaknanda & Bhagirathi; from here the holy river Ganges start and flown in the plains. On arrival at Guptkashi check in to hotel. Dinner and overnight at Guptkashi.

Day 04 : Guptkashi - Gaurikund - Kedarnath

Early morning after breakfast drive to Gaurikund and from here trek to Kedarnath with packed lunch. Kedarnath is a shrine of lord Shiva. In the evening visit the temple for Aarti ceremony. Dinner and overnight at Kedarnath.

Day 05 : Kedarnath - Vasukital - Kedarnath

In the morning visit the temple and later after breakfast stat your trek towards Vasuki Tal. We undertake an 8 km trek to Vasukital with packed lunch. After exploring the area trek back to Kedarnath. Dinner and overnight at Kedarnath.

Day 06 : Kedarnath - Gaurikund - Rudraprayag

15 kms trek to Gaurikund with packed lunch and from here drive to Rudraprayag. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 07 : Rudraprayag - Haridwar - Delhi

After breakfast drive to Haridwar. On arrival at Haridwar transfer to railway station and from here catch AC Train for Delhi at 18:05 hrs. Arrival at Delhi by 22:45 hrs. on arrival meet our executive and transfer to hotel.

Day 08 : Delhi - Departure

Morning sightseeing tour of the Delhi in the evening transfer to the Airport time to catch flight for onward destination.
