MIZORAM
The youngest state Mizoram, formerly known as the Lushai Hills is situated in the Norrth Eastern Corner of India. Mizoram, in the local language, means the land of Mizos. Aizwal is the capital of Mizoram. The Chapchar Kut is a major agricultural festival, which is celebrated with great fun in the month of March. The people dress up in their traditional dresses and ceremonial costumes. It has pleasant weather throughout the year. The state has thick bambo forest, rivers run in narrow ribbons that seem to be challenging onlookers to plunge in for some excitement. The hill range runnings in north south direction are resplendent with green vegetation throughout the year.
