SILIGURI

ISKCON  Temple, is one of the prominent places of interest in Siliguri. Sited at  Gital Para, ISKCON Temple Road, the temple is characterized by purity, serenity and sublime beauty.

Also known as Hare Krishna Movement, ISKCON temple in the city is the biggest Krishna centre in the whole of the Northeast India. Completely dedicated to Lord Krishna, the temple attracts thousands of devotees from all over the country.

An embodiment of peace and beauty, ISKCON Temple enshrines Radha Madhav idol and an image of Lord Krishna with Radha.

Along with this, the temple is also home to a number of spellbinding idols, some of which are those of Advaita Acharya, Lord Narasimha and Lord Chaitanya.
Though the temple is constructed in a modern architectural style, it has managed to retain the ancient Indian customs of ‘Vashtuhaara’.

From a few disciples, ISKCON has grown rapidly and now has more than 300 centres all over the world.

Founded by Swami Prabhupada in the year 1966, this place is a must visit for all Krishna devotees and also others who want to spend some of their time interacting with the divine in the holy ambiance.

It will take you to a different world altogether and you are likely to get lost in the spirituality and beauty of the iskcon temple.

Visiting these temples proves to be a pleasant and revealing experience.
ISKCON temples are dedicated to Lord Krishna and were built by the Hare-Rama Hare-Krishna cult followers.

These complexes are elegantly built and are few of the largest temple complexes in India.

There are beautiful paintings of Russian artists on the different past times of Radha Krishna, Sita, Ram, Laxman, Hanuman and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Special programmes like Kirtan, Aarti, Pravachan and Prasadam are held every Sunday.
